Re: Internal power supply and PSU mod

Thanks so much for the swift reply! :) Primary; "Blue and Brown will go to your 230V input. It doesn't matter here which one goes where. But I see the colour coding is the same as in Europe so just connect Blue to Blue and Brown to Brown." Blue is negative and Brown is positive? Secondary...

Re: Internal power supply and PSU mod

Hi, Looking at the data sheet you want following, (I see you live in Australia, so 230V is the voltage, series will be the connection method): Primary side 1) Connect Gray and Violet to each other and insulate the joint. You don't need it further on. 2) Blue and Brown will go to your 230V input. It ...

Re: Internal power supply and PSU mod

I have also connected the chassis ground to the PSU using a loop breaker intended to prevent earth/ ground loops to prevent hum when systems are interconnected. What 2 diodes did you use for the ground loop breaker jeroenbvo? :) 1N4004's or 1n5818 or other schottky diodes? The reason I ask is becau...

Re: C163 at SD

Vincent,

Can you confirm this is for all 0.47µ capacitors that are tied to the instruments accent lines to be 0.047µ?
C89, C163, C165, C168, C164, C167?

Re: Resistor Percentages/ratings %'s...

It's just the export from Eagle. American symbol is the zigzag way of drawing a resistor, like Vincent used in his schematics. European symbol is when they are drawn as a rectangular box.
0207/7 is the package type, so length and diameter etc of the resistor.

Re: Build completed EEPROM initialize not doing anything

Hi, With cleaning up, both drifter7508 and I meant that you should cut your component leads more close to the board. On the pictures I see a lot of long ends and by handling the board you might actually have shorted things out. So get a flush wire cutter like this: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/cabl...

Re: Nava Schematic Errors

D58 and D61 are not even close in the schematics to the affected transistors. I would have expected D64,68 and 67 go busted if. Comparing Original schematic with Nava, the orientation is correct and is what I measure on by board. Vincent explained why the orientation was wrong and it confirmed my re...

Re: Mix Out Noisy/Distorted

Make sure that where you disconnect it, the ground leads of the individual channels are separated from each other. If you leave them together you will still have a loop.

Re: Mix Out Noisy/Distorted

Normally you would only connect it to one side to avoid a ground loop. As the two pcbs are already connected with ground via the power. I have noticed the same and already decided to do it like this. with only one side connected, do you have a clean mix out ? also on what board do you have the grou...
