First, there is some instructions and parts that didn't work as espectected. Make sure you followed the start up procedure.

You should look over all the pcb, make sure no chips are backwards etc.

Check power
Check the master section
Check each drum sound, trigger each individually

Check the caps and pots if you can.. A misplaced cap can distroy the sound very easy. How are you triggering it for the sequencer or from the trigger point? Personaly I think the sequencer should be the second step in the build, so you can trigger your sounds etc.. It makes it easy to set up a easy ...

Often people use a pair of small film or ceramic caps Between the encoder terminals to filter the true pulses and disregard any noise. Values under 1nF are prefered.

Did you solder the metal tabs that hold the pots in place ?

You might want to at least solder one side of them.

In DIY the first step to making things work corectly is measure everything when you put it in. Use a printed copy of the instructions and cross every part off as you place it and solder etc.. Well I would assume you twisted the knobs etc?

Best thing is to look through ever component and make sure it's correct, then check for solder and solder bridges...
