Re: Considering 2 modifications

If I were to implement a power switch in my Yocto, the way I would do it would be to cut the AC active and neutral on the AC adaptor cable and install a the switch there. Like some lamps have their switches in the cable. Saves messing around with the Yocto :D Yeah that's an idea. I'm hesitant to go...

Re: Toms noise

I've found from building the toms in the past that how you're listening can strongly affect how you hear the noise, due to background noise in your environment and how your speakers handle white noise etc. I often hear a pretty significant difference listening on my speakers vs headphones. Maybe try...

Considering 2 modifications

Hello, posting this here because they are not modifications to the 808 circuits but rather to the yocto physical kit, but if it should be moved to the modifications forum let me know. 1. Blue LEDs in place of the red ones. I bought some blue leds and was thinking of substituting them for the red one...

Re: r 151 accent resistor burns

Hello franzkleid, I had same problem on 4th batch kit. Please try unbuffered 4011 UB . I solved R151 problem by it. cheers wow is that really the issue? My local electronics retailers don't seem to differentiate, just listing "4011" without any suffix. I guess I could go in-person or call...

Re: Acrylic Case

Dear Zmb, I think it's a mistake from your company because Acrilyc Yocto EPS file is in scale 1:1. Try to open the files with Illustrator . Best regards, e-licktronic OK thanks, I will verify with them the dimensions they used. Because if the only mistake that was made was the outer border, I would...

Acrylic Case

I'm trying to get an acrylic case made for the yocto but not through ponoko or formulor, since I live in canada and I'd rather not pay shipping when there are local businesses that do the same thing. I'm fine with the file provided on the e-licktronic page, the design is fine for me. But are there o...

Re: All Yocto Mods

Thanks for the info! For the moment I'm just building it straight but I'm hoping to incorporate some of these same modifications into my final build. Especially the bass drum modifications. I've built the individual instruments on breadboard in the past and found some very nice mods for the BD but I...

Re: Missing diode 1n5822

Dear zmb, Contact Vincent for missing part :contact@e-licktronic.com Best regards, e-licktronic Thanks, I ended up just buying one from Jameco along with the power supply, and in the mean time I will just test it using a different power supply. I posted this in haste, a little too excited i guess, ...

Re: Noise section trimmer voltage?

yeah it looks like roland changed the noise schematic at some point:

I might try to do the bottom one instead of what's indicated in the tutorial and see what I can get. Should be an easy substitution.

Missing diode 1n5822 [SOLVED]

I just received my yocto kit and going through the components I can't find the 1n5822 diode anywhere! I looked through the active components bag several times, as well as the other bags just in case. It's possible I misplaced it somehow and my post will look silly, but I can't find it anywhere in my...
