hi, i observe the following behaviour on the crash voice (ride and hihat are fine): the crash sounds ok in the highest tuning, but when turning the tuning pot down, there are "steps" where the crash just glitches. there are other settings where it sounds ok again. it seems like the clock i...

Re: Nava

Hi,

The LCD screen is a little dark using the 1.2k resistor as per the BOM on the manual page.
In the schematic its a 220... is this fine, too, or will it burn the backlight LED?

no schematics this time? they were quite invaluable for debugging my yocto build...

Accent Out mod

Hi,

has anyone installed an accent out mod?
not a mod strictly speaking since it's present on the original TR-808.

seems one just has to run a wire to a jack from R113 (TRIG bus)

just wondering if there are any pitfalls?

Re: Nava

yeah thanks. i didn't post a list because it depends a bit what people have in stock at home already.
personally, i have very similar rubber feet already, and i recently got a boxed set of Dupont headers which i plan to use instead of the Molex headers... should shave off a couple of euros more

Re: Nava

small note on the BOM: it's worth going through, some parts are just below the threshold to 100 piece discount and for some components there is a price drop to 1/3 the individual component price which can make the BOM cheaper by ordering a bit more... (probably not news for veterans here)

Re: Trigger 3

hi,

i don't know, but in a related question i would like to ask if it is know
why the accent out was not implemented in the yocto?
(or is it perhaps "trigger 3"?)
