I have the same issue with external MIDI triggering on my 1.02 board. The internal sequencer works fine, but an external MIDI sequencer only seems to trigger Toms, Clap and very quiet Hi Hats. I also had an issue with two faulty AN6912s. One in each kit, both with the same date code. Replaced them with ones from personal stock and it then works fine.

I ended up finding what the issue was. One of the 2SC2603 transistors got burned out and needed to be replaced.
