Re: Snare Drum decay too long (v1.02)

I think you're mistaken as my hats, crash and ride are affected with my faulty MUX board (IC111). If I move the good MUX board from IC114 to IC111, I have good sounding hats, crash and ride again. Hihats, Crash & Ride go through IC110, a TL074 (as used on the mux boards as well). But IC110 is f...

Re: Snare Drum decay too long (v1.02)

Then I umplugged the mux/sh boards and the ride was proud and loud. Strange isn't It? Not really because the Hihats, Crash & Ride don't go through the MUX_SH boards. Don't forget to look at the schematics. The Mux_SH boards are put in place of the 4051's that were in IC111 and IC114. Hihats, Cr...

Re: Snare Drum decay too long (v1.02)

dang you guys it's a diy project and the MUX boards were provided for free like 60 days ago tops. i think you might be a bit more patient before you impugn the character of vincent. also, this is a good opportunity to challenge yourself a bit more. there are 13 parts total on each board, 4 different...

Re: How to use Flam in Nava?

+1000 for Flam, huge feature and it's even seen on the case and in the manual...it's begging to be fixed/added! seems like maybe a relatively straightforward sequencer function, double send-ing each trig/acc signal for the flam-activated instrument (or step?!), first at an arbitrarily lower voltage ...

I love the 606 and DR-110 but they are relatively in the area of the 808...

I like the idea of a more vintage sounding hybrid of the CR-78 and Korg KPR or SR...but maybe spice it up with built in analog fx, maybe chorus/flange, distortion etc

Re: Power puzzle: 5V drops to 4.5V

well the new LM2596 didn't change anything but i figured it out! after working backwards thru the 5V line on both of my IO boards, i found that the 680uf capacitor on the problem IO board was knocking the input voltage going to the LM2596 down to 8.3V...and it should be about 22V..i replaced it and ...

Re: Power puzzle: 5V drops to 4.5V

I tried swapping a 6n139 for the 6n138, but my 5V still drops to 4.5V This really seems like a current/power draw issue -- could the LM2596 be failing and no longer supplying 3A, causing the voltage drop when the sequencer increases the current being pulled? Seems like a long shot but I am desperate...
