Re: Strange sequencer/power issue

i replaced all the 595 and 165 chips, symptoms remain the same. ... i suppose i should continuity test all the sequencer parts according to the schematic, and if that seems ok, compare voltages between my dysfunctional yocto and good yocto? any troubleshooting tips massively appreciated... edit -- t...

Re: Strange sequencer/power issue

hi antto, thanks so much for the advice. i really like this theory. unfortunately i do not feel any of the 595's or 165's being warm when the sequencer/led's are frozen after powering on. even after waiting some minutes. so i measured the resistance from each pin of the 595's to ground. unfortunatel...

Re: collection of 909 mods

I have built two NAVAs. On one of them the BD is a bit too low, which I would like to change. On the site of colinfraser it says that R59 is responsible for the pitch of the BD. I measured them on both NAVAs but actually their values are nearly identical (46.0k and 46.2k). So I don't think the diff...

Master Bass Boost

Huge one here... From "the archives"... "A couple of years ago I did some repair work on a customer's TR-909 and discovered that the DC-blocking capacitors in the final output mixer are grossly undersized. The impedance of the mixing busses (used to mix the individual sounds into left...

Re: collection of 909 mods

Also Greg Zifcak did some very interesting ones particularly on the clap. I already contacted him one time and he was very OK to share. .... Please if someone tries from those information, share the results here ! Thanks for sharing the info!! To do the Clap Tuning mod, replace R207 (originally 150...

Re: [SOLVED] Clap doesn´t work

Had to replace fried BA6110 on one of the Nava's I'm building as well to get clap working -- think it was due to legs of C61 contacting against D53 on the component side of the board, tight fit right there..

Re: 390p Styrene caps out of stock at Mouser...

Just a quick sidenote -- you can use 390pf ceramic caps instead of styrene, it makes no audible difference.

i have built a 9090 as well, and that kit came with 470pf styrene caps but the 390pf are ceramic, and i have confirmed it sounds fine withe the Nava as well.

Strange sequencer/power issue

I have a strange power/sequencer issue I'm hoping for advice with. When I power on the Yocto, regardless of mode, all sequencer buttons are lit and it is "frozen". It happened suddenly. The Yocto was sitting on a table, was not moved at all, and had been working fine for over a year -- use...

Re: Is still someting going on here? Any dev-activity?

i've never messed with arduino or the arduino IDE, but i'd like to...i've done some programming in my time and i'd like to at least poke around and see if i can learn anything or make any headway. so what would be needed to start to poke around on the firmware? uncompiled hex files of the OS, an ext...

Re: Nava v1.0 metal Box [WAITING LIST]

Just a note of praise & encouragement -- Julie / Happymum's NAVA box is BEAUTIFUL. The paint and silk-screening is really high quality, and very smart design decisions were made. It's nicer than most cases made by professional music equipment companies.
