Re: RA9A/B/C/D Resistors in Digital Voices
if you refer to the potis to adjust the hihat? They have different purpose, one is standart for volumn, the other two are simply for timing purposes int he circuit, they convert the trigger pulse form the sequencer to hihat sounds output timings. On the other eprom circuits you do have tuning potis,...

Re: RA9A/B/C/D Resistors in Digital Voices
They are more precise than normal 5% or 1% resistors, in those resistors the sound that will be generated depends on those resistors, i think they are suppose to represent octaves, like their value is doubles each time 5k to 12k to 20k 40k and so on. I didnt have 5k ones, so i did solder 10k in para...

Re: Continuity between +15v , -15 and gnd on main board
nope dont think the bd uses 5V, i think 5V are almost only used for te digital circuitry, like sequenecer and eeprom samples for the ride etc... I guess you gotta go the hard way solder it all then hope it works, if it doesnt work use the forum and maybe some electric engineers nearby to tell you th...

Re: metal-film vs carbon resistors
Metal-film resistors are less noisy than carbon ones You got any source for that statement? I am of the opinion, noise in resistors is only happening due to therman noise, so called johnson noise. And its only dependend on the resistor value, so if you have high value you get bigger noise, no matte...

Re: Continuity between +15v , -15 and gnd on main board
as long as your supply cvoltages are correct, +-15 or 14 V and 5V or something near it, you do not have to worry, of course it can happen that something is broken and you draw a lot of current and something gets hot in the long run, but i would not say this is happening in your case, since your volt...

Yocto midi out what does it do
Hi, i just finished my yocto , works pretty fine, except my noise section got some issues i guess, my snares do not sound very snappy, but i guess that problem is too difficult to describe in here :) Anyway, what i am wondering right now, why is there an midi out built in? Can I use it, what signals...

Re: metal-film vs carbon resistors
as always in electronics, one is cheaper than the other, and you always try to be as cheap as possible while still beeing as accurate as possible, so for example the logic part with all the leds, dont require stable resistors you can choose cheap here, in other parts like the t networks for sound po...

Re: midi transmit
yeah, thanks I checked that i have installed firmware 1.018 so i will try to get a never version onto my nava and then try again. What I wanted to test is play the nava from an external keyboard via midi, and what i hoped to do is maybe play the exact patterns from the nava via midi out on my tr707 ...
