I used 1% metal film resistors everywhere in my Yocto. No problems except for the issues discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=206

The LEDs which came with my kit are way too bright with only a 220 Ohm resistor. They really hurt my eyes, especially in the dark. I propose to replace the 220 Ohm resistors at R17-20 and R37-38 with 1kOhm. At least check the brightness with one LED before soldering the resistors as it's not easy to...

@discodisco: I've exactly the same problems (both of them) with my Yocto. I used 1% metal film resistors and Panasonic Low-ESR capacitors for my build. Did you find a solution yet?
