Im also waiting for my yocto+cocteau case, and there was no tracking info was provided, so i tried to contact him about that yesterday via email... But still no reply. I hope he will return soon and sort this all out, as i still need the case sooner or later.

WARNING: pcb revision 1.01a from 1.01 kit also have this "defect", it was not fixed.

Bend the even and odd IC legs a little in a different directions 2 times, so it will make a good contact.

check if VR14 potentiometer 'standoff leg' is not touching the thru-hole, so effectively grounding it...
