Multiple issues? (HC, RS, Toms, SN...) Check your 4011!

Hey folks ! I just finished troubleshooting a Yocto. I still had multiple problems : no HC, no RS, nearly no noise on the SN, a huge hum sound on the Toms. Also, the Accent did not work (it completely cut the instruments' sounds instead of boosting them). I replaced the 4011 in the accent section, a...

Dirty digital noise on the Cymbal

This message to report a bug I had and solved... :-) I had this really dirty digital noise on the cymbal, and I ended switching components one after the other as it has no logical reason (I had checked with Vincent before). I finally solved my problem by replacing the yellow Nichicon caps I had plac...

Re: COCTEAU!!!! (mod PCB for your YOCTO 808 clone)

Hi folks, I just started to assemble the Cocteau kit (prior to assembling the Yocto itself) and I just bumped into this switch issue. I think I'm going to try to dremel the switches' actuators and not the enclosure. Do you confirm that the issue is only the width, and that the length of the travel i...

Re: Cannot adjust TP1 to 5V : stays around -0.2V...

[Solved] one solder joint on R639 (pull-up resistors for the Stop switch) bad. It tested ok before, but when one moved the resistor, contact with ground was on and off...
Thanks to Vincent, who's been of a great help, as always!

Re: Cannot adjust TP1 to 5V : stays around -0.2V...

Anyone's got other ideas? I've checked the <Start> switch and re-checked the pull-up resistance, and everything seems fine. The only thing is that resistance of the <Start> switch in-circuit is around 1.3Kohm, whereas the other switches (like the sequencer steps for instance) are around 1.7Kohm...

Re: NAVA Sequencer bug

Hi theartstrip!

Did you solve your issue? I have a problem quite similar to yours.

I've opened a new topic here : viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1772&p=10890#p10890

Cheers!

Re: Cannot adjust TP1 to 5V : stays around -0.2V...

Thanks again serum114! I've checked, and I'm in Master Clock... Also, I've switched all the Shift Registers for switches (74HC165) and for LED's (74HC595), with no luck... What I have now is a kinda working Nava (all sounds working, except Clap and Ride, I'll move to that later...)... But I have to ...

Re: Cannot adjust TP1 to 5V : stays around -0.2V...

OK... Sometimes, you're just so focused on very subtle things that you just can't see the obvious... Pin 9 of IC107 wasn't properly inserted in its socket. So now, I've been able to adjust TP1 to 5V. The LEDs seem to react as they should. When I initialize the EEPROM, I get the normal LED ste...
