The problem is only there when I connect to the master output. Individual outputs are dead quiet. So it must be something entering the master section. It's not very loud but clearly audible when I apply even a gentle compressor.

Hi, first of all thanks for this excellent kit. The drums sound amazing, to me it sounds excactly like a TR808! The problem: Like topic says, switching the Expander knob introduces different audible noises/high freq hum, mostly ranging from around 2khz and higher. They are not dependent of the level...

I've completed the build and it's working and sounding absolutely great except for two volume pots are defective. Don't know if I've heated them too much while soldering or if they where d.o.a, but if I was you I'd start by doublechecking to be absolutely sure your vol.pot is working.
