Hi, Glueing, I could see maybe done with two component epoxy and then maybe the metal version. But I doubt it will last. Welding, whether steel or aluminium will destroy your front panel silkscreen. Considering the behaviour of VR15 and it being connected to IC23, a quick check would be to swap out that 5218 with one from another instrument.

Hi, The m5218 will have a vertical line printed towards one side. That would indicate the side of pin 1. On the pcb pin 1 is indicated by "1" and a square shape on the silkscreen. The 2SD1469 has a little notch on the top, which corresponds to the marking on the pcb silkscreen. you can als...
