Re: All Yocto Mods

Is it possible to change a resistor value to simply lower the fixed pitch of the BD? Yeah I haven't pulled up the schematics but basing it on the post higher up "BassDrum Tuning -- replaced R165 (47k) with SPDT switch that selects between original value (47k) and a 100k potentiometer (audio/lo...

Re: Noise when switching expander knob

Hey this topic is like a week old but I had a similar problem when I was controlling the Yocto in expander mode through a Midi Thru unit. Except it was a buzzy noise on all outputs. When I controlled it directly from my sequencer without the Midi Thru box the sound disappeared. Not really sure why a...

Re: "Demo your 808 yocto" thread

Just finished the Yocto yesterday, here's a demo. building a simple beat from scratch. There's one modification, to the bass drum maximum decay, tried to show that here too

Re: Considering 2 modifications

Oh that's a good idea! I was thinking I'd have to scratch the traces on the PCB or something weird, I may do that now.

I ended up just going with the red LEDs because I realized all the step LEDs are red so it should match.

Re: Shielding?

Hello fellow DIY'ers, I am about to buy a Yocto 808 and wondered if there is a way to get the enclosure in metal since I am a bit worried that it needs to be shielded properly. Any tips for shielding the acrylic enclosure? Perhaps put some self adhesive shield foil on the inside? The local laser-cu...

Re: Testing the noise section voltage.

I dont get anything on the 200m but on the next one up (2) I get about .253 with the trimmer turned fully clockwise. Tried to up load image but was having trouble with it. I have a similar DMM, the AC voltmeter only goes down to 200V. I got it to 0.1 and then adjusted by ear. But for more precision...
