Re: BA662 mod for Clap

I have performed the modification and used BA662 in both cases, but I noticed a higher noise level on the claps output than with the 6110, so I reverted back to 6110 as I did not notice any sound difference.

Yocto2 as Master Sync

Hi,

As I find it challenging working with Yocto2 in slave mode (its loosing sync) I tried to make it a master, but my sequencer does not sync to it at all.

Have others successfully setup their Yocto2 to control external sequencers?

Re: Unoffical Firmware Available

Hi,

Any thoughts on Yocto2 unofficial firmware? My Yocto2 has some functional issues that limit my ability to properly work with it in production manner.

Pattern A & B Together

Hi, Just found out today that if you press two pattern buttons together, they form an A+B pair, just like in the 808. If you press two buttons that are not close one to the other, a range is selected all the way to a 16 pattern range!! The issue I've noticed is the first pattern run after selecting ...

Re: Sounds Different when Using External Midi

Did some more testing with the SD sound using front panel button and MIDI trigger. It seems the TONE setting behaves differently: When triggered from front panel, turning the Tone control has a lower range of change versus when triggering from MIDI, where it has a more pronounced effect. All the way...

Re: Sounds Different when Using External Midi

I just experienced that as well. When focusing on the SD for example, the sound is a bit more "woody" using MIDI vs. the internal trigger, which to me is less desirable. It seems like the internal balance between the tone generators of each sound is different, which is more than just a vol...

MIDI START/STOP

When using slave mode to start/stop the sequencer, the pattern is played starting from last step and not step 1. This makes syncing to an external sequencer almost impossible. Suggestion: External MIDI start/stop commands operate like the START front panel button and not the STOP/CONT one. Also, is ...

Re: Lost triggers, TP1 at 0.2v

Further testing indicate that MCP4822 pin8 is outputting around 0.06v and not the reference voltage of 2v (or 4v in case the DAC is instructed to issue the double voltage). This could be due to a defective MCP4822.
