For future reference, it turned out to be a dead AN6912.

Anyone experiencing weird infinite decay on the clap that is always present even without triggering it, definitely try replacing this IC!

hey mate, did you use sockets for the M5218L's? a lot of people had people, including myself, had issues with these ic's getting solid contact in sockets which results in dead voices. it's a bit weird that all your voices are dead though if I were you I would focus on one voice at a time. so start w...

i can also confirm im getting significant volume differences on all my drum voices, the rim shot is super loud. the kick is fairly quiet in comparison to the majority of the other voices, you basically have turn all the other voices right down to get a decent pattern with a balanced kick.. anyone ha...

hi all,

just finished building a 1.02 board, all other voices are fine but the clap is automatically triggered with an infinite decay.

do you think this could be due to a faulty An6912?

hey there,

did you ever work out the solution to the infinite hand clap decay issue?

i have the same problem and have reflowed the HC section, as well as check for shorts.

any tips would be greatly appreciated!

3x v1.02 working with the boards here, although I had one pair of MUX_SH boards causing problems in the digital section (OH delay sound). What I do have on all v1.02 are extreme volume differences among each voices. The RIM is 3 times louder than the BD for example. hey klang generator, any tips on...
