I built the Yocto2 and Nava - but I hate how flimsy the wain volume pot's are on both of them - has anyone sourced alternative parts that fit but feel as solid as the other pots?
Thanks!

Re: No rimshot and low handclap
I've tracked the rimshot problem down to a bad 5218. One of the pins was broken but it's also just dead now it seems.

Re: No rimshot and low handclap
I did have a spare, just one! I must have pulled it from an old Roland board at some point because it's "vintage". I removed the chip that came with the kit and the sound didn't change. I put in the spare I had and adjusted the trimmer, and it sounds AMAZING now. I appreciate the offer, bu...

Re: No rimshot and low handclap
Thank you, I just saw the other threads referencing that IC.
I've got:
AN6912
M.609
Nothing on the bottom.
I might have a spare in stock, so I'll give it a try.
On the rimshot I think my problem is at Q65, or near it. I'm hoping I can just pull that and see if it works in a tester.

Re: No rimshot and low handclap
An update: I have a signal on F1, F2, F3 and TRIG. No signal on ENV or ACC. No signal on IC50, but it is getting power. I did have a short in the Hi Tom area originally, but that voice seems to be okay. I didn't see any magic smoke but I did smell some smoke, could have been my imagination. There ar...

No rimshot and low handclap
Working on finishing up a Nava. I've got no rimshot sound and the handclap seems like it's low and maybe a bit more muffled than it should be.
Any tips on what I can test?

Re: Need help with a -15 and GND short
Short mystery. I pulled all the 0 ohm resistors until I got to the low tom section and the short disappeared. At that point it was easy to trace the issue to a bad solder joint.
Now onto figuring out what I fried.

Solved - Need help with a -15 and GND short
I'm getting close to finishing up a Nava build. I shouldn't have been so confident in doing the initial testing - I smelled some smoke and heard a buzzing sound coming from the main board. There were a few IC's I had oriented wrong in the crash section, so I pulled those out. They weren't hot or bur...

Re: Yocto² Mouser BOM Official Thread
is CD4049UBE a suitable replacement for CD4049UBEE4? Mouser has it in stock, and I can't quite tell the difference between the part numbers from the datasheet. I have 11 of them here, tried 3 of them and I've had trouble with some of the instruments triggering. So either they aren't a good replaceme...

Re: Noise problem
I had the same problem, a 100k trimmer for TM4 got me to 130mV RMS. Now just a potentially faulty IC3 causing intermittent clap failure is my only remaining problem.
