Re: Data Encoder not working

After finishing the YOCTO2, I realized that the DATA-KNOB did not work. Solving: I bought the XGecu TTL866II plus universal programmer, saved the Atmega contents (2.003) on the PC and flashed 2.003beta. When I turned on my yocto2 all LED lit up. The yocto2 responded to no input while terrible sound...

Re: Help, I maybe burn something but I don't know what

Found the burned ICs and fixed everything... Hi, glad you could find the problem! I have a similar problem. Could you explain how you managed to find the burnt ICs? And could you also explain to me how you find the right orientation of the memory ICs? Because they don't have a dot or other pin1 ind...

Re: Does not start up normally after accident, please help

Small question: Should the ground point next to TP1 be connected with the main digital ground? Thanks in advance!

Re: Does not start up normally after accident, please help

Thanks! By this you mean I will have to check if digital ground and analog ground are connected to the parts which in the schema are grounded?
I think I will place a new LCD as soon as possible just to be sure. Can I use any 16x2 display with a Sitronix ST7066U controller, or HD44780 controller?

Re: Does not start up normally after accident, please help

I now have discovered that it makes no difference if the Atmega controller is in the socket or not.
All the LEDs are continuously on when the power is on. However when I quickly turn off and on again, only part of the LEDs will be on.
Maybe this is a clue to one of you guys?

Does not start up normally after accident, please help

Hello, I finished the build and had only some minor issues, but I accidentally put the corner of main board against the +15/-15V rails of the PSU board :-( All the LEDs went on for a quick while before I could remove the board from the PSU board. Now the yocto does not start up normally. The display...

Re: Help! Self-oscillating Bassdrum

Hi, Thank you for your help! I solved the decay problem, it was a wrong resistor after I searched and searched. Now it is working fine except for the ground loop hum. I also completed the snare and both the snare and bass drum have quite low volume. I will try and measure where could be a ground loo...

Re: Help! Self-oscillating Bassdrum

I have found a wrong resistor: R170 was 470 Ohm instead of 470K. Now the strange beeps are gone, but the 50 Hz hum is still there quite loud. I hear a faint click of the kickdrum but the whole thing is very sensitive when I touch earth, like the metal parts of the pot meters! Anybody have a clue? I'...

Help! Self-oscillating Bassdrum

Hi all, I have a strange issue with my Bassdrum. I seem to have the sequencer and the triggers working, I hear every second a 'bip' sound with the decay of the bassdrum closed. But when I open the decay a continuous tone is sounding, and the tone quickly changes to a low buzz when the decay is more ...

Re: Current Yocto2 OS in HEX

Do you need to load the bootloader first on the chip? Can you use the Yocto v1 bootloader for this?
